Who we are

The National Hispanic Science Network (NHSN) is a 501 c(3) organization that is dedicated to addressing and reducing health disparities affecting U.S. Latino communities. Through conscious, dedicated, and collaborative efforts we are creating a mentoring network to foster the career development of Latino scientists who are underrepresented in the scientific workforce pipeline.

What we do

The NHSN supports a broad scientific focus to support research that addresses health disparities to improve the health equity of Hispanics. In addition, the organization provides opportunities to members of all career levels. Through mentorship, funding resources, career development, and training programs, the NHSN offers a rich environment for nurturing the next generation of researchers who will respond to current and emerging health and behavioral health issues facing their communities.

“I was able to interact with Hispanic scientists who are at the top of our field, and more importantly, the encouragement and advice that I received from members within NHSN have played a vital role in my development and identity as a scientist.”
